Dancer List
The Culture Show Dancer List has now been uploaded here. The list includes choreographer names, the ISU liaison to the dance, the number of spots open in the dance at the time of uploading, and the names of the dancers.
This year we strictly enforced our membership policy, and the bottom line is that you must be a member to participate in culture show. Therefore, only current ISU members as of February 23rd of 10:00 P.M. were placed into dances.
Open spots
If you wish to apply for the open spots in the remaining dances, then do the following
1) Buy your membership first on PayPal using your own name and student ID
2) Apply to Culture Show online application. If you have already applied, don’t re-submit your application unless you want to change it.
Second Dances
If you are already in dance and want to be in a second dance, please email laisu.pad@gmail.com and specify the following:
In the subject, type “Culture Show Second Dance”
In the body, give your name, the dance you are in, and the second dance you want to be in, and your phone number.
We will place people into a second dance only after the remaining spots have been filled by other applicants who are not already in a dance.
New due date
The due date for new applications for remaining spots is Thursday, March 4 by Midnight. Applications afterwards will not be considered for placement into dances. The Culture committee will fill the remaining dancer spots and inform the choreographers of the new dancers. Any subsequent openings will be left to be filled by the choreographer after the start of spring quarter, provided that they are members.
New Dance
We have had a record number of applicants this year, and to hopefully give everybody the opportunity to dance (or sing) we may add a new dance to our show. Please make sure that any suggestions are distinctly different from the types of dances that we already have. For instance, there is currently no singing act, and we would love to have one. If you have any ideas about a style of dance, please send an email to laisu.pad@gmail.com

Indian Student Union’s DATE AUCTION is back! It will be on February 10th, 2010 from 6PM – 8PM in HAINES 39.

Even if you do not want to be auctioned, definitely come out to the event to bid on people to help raise money for culture show! The event was a huge success last year and we hope you can help us make it even better this year!
